General Ophthalmologist
Dr. Brad Stuckenschneider

Brad Stuckenschneider, M.D., F.A.C.S., is a leading provider of cataract surgery in the Poplar Bluff region. He has been in practice in Missouri since 1993, moving from St. Louis to Poplar Bluff in 1998. Many local physicians have entrusted their very own eye care to Dr. Stuckenschneider.

Dr. Stuckenschneider is a board certified ophthalmologist. He graduated with honors from St. Louis University and received his Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Medicine. Subsequently, he pursued residency training for the specialty of Ophthalmology at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee.

Dr. Stuckenschneider was the first in the area to offer the new Optical Coherence Tomography, and is now offering cataract patients the latest technology in intraocular lens implants--Crystalens™ accommodating IOLs. The Crystalens™ works in concert with the eye's natural muscles by "flexing" to accommodate near, intermediate, and distance vision, thereby mirroring the function of the eye's natural lens. This new lens implant will greatly reduce a person's dependence on glasses, sometimes allowing a person to forego glasses altogether.
